Chapter 6

Journey Home

Cozmic Cat Drawing by Artisst Rick Clement
"Cozmic Cat was riding a musical
wave back home and it felt wonderful."

Beating the drums to the sound of Eeeyoo Eeeyoo’s guitar, Cozmic Cat jumped on the wave and began to sing along with the guitar fairies. As he sang and played the anti-gravity drum set exploded through space like a solar flare bursting off the surface of the sun. Clouds of musical notes and particles of shimmering stardust filled the space that surrounded his drum set. Musical notes trailed behind as he traveled through quantum space at the speed of light. His anti-gravity hat was barely able to stay above his head as he traveled faster and faster. Now he was riding a musical wave back home and it felt wonderful. He surfed up and down to the sounds of the music and everything was going well except for one thing. The anti-gravity drum set was moving faster and faster and there was no way to slow it down.

He began to feel strangely as if his body was becoming part of the music, vibrating wildly through space. He felt as if he were divided a thousand times like vibrating strings on a guitar. He saw his own reflection a thousand times through a thousand eyes. "I am only one me, but at the same time I am a thousand me’s" Cozmic Cat thought to himself. He had become, like the sound of the symbols crashing on the drums, spread out across the universe in circular vibrations. "What will I do now?" He thought to himself.

Just when he felt as if he would be stretched out across the universe and lost in Quantum Space forever, he found himself back on the stage with the crowd cheering wildly as if he had never left. The drumming cat reappeared so suddenly that he was not sure what had happened. It was kind of like suddenly waking up from a dream. Continuing to keep a steady beat he looked around and was delighted to see the crowd jumping up and down. Singing guitar fairies kept rhythm with the drums while Eeeyoo Eeeyoo screeched out a thunderous roar on the electric guitar. It was more than a great feeling to be back.
