Cozmic Cat Gets Lost in Quantum Space

Riding on his anti-gravity drum set Cozmo had flown into another dimension. It was his own drumbeat that produced the musical waves that carried him through quantum space. The harder he played the faster he went. He could see his face reflected a thousand times in the rolling vibrations that surrounded the drum set. Musical waves were multiplying and dividing with each strike on the drum. He was surrounded by good vibrations and he played the drums like never before as he soared across the universe.

Electrical patterns described the shapes of the world and then became the world they had described. Sound waves roared together in mighty choruses and then split apart into individual melodies dancing through doors and windows that appeared out of nowhere and vanished into thin air. Doors and windows of all different colors, shapes and sizes opened and closed without very good timing for the melody that bounced off the remnants of a wall that no longer existed. Cozmic Cat was riding his own wave into another world.

Fascination with the quantum universe mesmerized Cozmic Cat completely. He lost all sense of time, space and direction. When he finally stopped and looked around he realized he had no idea where he was or how to get back home to finish playing the concert. He had completely lost all sense of time and could not figure out if he had been riding the waves for an hour or a day. Cozmic Cat was lost in quantum space. It seemed to him a world without time or direction. No up, down, north, south, east or west. No point of origin. As he listened he heard all kinds of sounds and noises. It was a lot like being in a big city on a busy afternoon. He heard people shouting from across the street, whistles blowing, clinking glasses, footsteps of the passers by, engines running, beeping horns and pigeons cooing at his feet.

While listening he began to stare into space at all the sound waves and electrical patterns surrounding him. He noticed that if he focused and listened to any particular wave that the sound from that wave would become clearer. Kind of like tuning in to different radio stations. He would choose a wave and as he focused his attention on that wave the sound would become clearer and all the other waves and sounds would fade into the background.

While he enjoyed this sort of listening game, Cozmo was not having any luck finding a familiar sound that he might be able to follow back to the concert. He was still lost and was getting hungry. "How am I going to find my way back to the concert?" Cozmo said out loud as he began to beat on the drums again. "I am sure everyone is waiting to hear the next song."
